@2go the maths is some simple. Okay let me try it out

like you posted that the sum if four consecutive numbers is -46.

Then, let the numbers be x, (x - 1), (x - 2) and (x - 3).

Therefore; x + (x - 1) + (x - 2) + (x - 3) = -46

then, collect like terms
x + x + x + x - 1 - 2 - 3 = -46

when you add all the varibles and figures respectively, you will have
4x - 6 = -46

Collect like terms
Note, that when - is moving across equal sign it changes to + sign
4x = -46 + 6
4x = -40

now, dividing both sides by 4
the reason for this is to make x the subject formula

4x/4 = -40/4
x = -10

since x = -10, put the value of x in x, (x - 1), (x - 2) and (x - 3)

therefore, the numbers are -10, (-10 - 1), (-10 - 2) and (-10 - 3)

which will give you
-10, -11, -12 and -13 Answer

Againt, the next step is to collect like terms
(t + t + t + t) - (1 - 2 - 3) = -46

After which you have added all the varibles and figures respectively, we will have

4t - 6 = -46

Now, we collect like terms
4t = -46 + 6
4t = -40

Divide both sides by 4 to make t the subject formula

4t/4 = -40/4
t = -10

Now you have t = -10, replace the value of t in the numbers t, (t - 1),
(t - 2) and (t - 3)

therefore, the numbers are -10, (-10 - 1), (-10 - 2) and (-10 - 3)
