[b]In 1914, a certain British opportunist called Fredrick Lugard decided to open his latest business venture in West Africa, a Zoo. Lugard decided to call this Zoo 'Nigeria' after the River Niger. After hunting for animals to populate his Zoo, Lugard managed to capture several species called Hausa/Igbo/Yoruba/Efik/ Annang/Tiv/Ijaw etc. He then separated these animals into cages and officially opened up this Zoo in 1914 for the pleasure of the viewing public. Ever since then, that Zoo has become a source of global entertainment as the animals within it fight for supremacy. The Animal have been trying kill each other for 102 years. To make matters worse, some of the animals designate the 1st of October every year to celebrate their 'Zoo Republic'. So I want my fellow Biafrans to join me in congratulating all the Chimpanzee's, Baboons, Gorrilas and Monkeys in the Zoological Republic of Nigeria as they celebrate Zoo day in memory of when the Zoo keeper called Lugard officially locked them up in cages.

Happy Zoo Day!!
