VIDEO: How and why Maj KADUNA NZEOGWU plotted 1966 coup, effects of COUP yet to wear off, issues raised still unresolved Image213

For many who were born before the 1966 military coup that eventually snowballed into a huge crisis that engulfed Nigeria and spilled into 1967 otherwise known as the Nigerian Revolution would not know the young brave and gallant army officer, Major Kaduna Nzeogwu.

Nzeogwu the leader of 1966 coup was doubtless an enigma who meant so many things to many people at the time and trying to describe the young officer would be trying to contract several contradictions and finally arrive at a tingling melody.

He was one young army officer who walked through the heart of bullets, whose words and actions were not only rousingly challenging but decidedly radical.

Watch the video below for a first-hand information of how he plotted, executed the 1966 coup and later died in an ambush near Nsukka, Nigeria in 1967.
