From My Inbox Yesterday. A Young Brother Sent Me The Below Message In My Inbox So, Please Advice Him.

Goodmorning to every great Igboists in this great Igbo Forum! My question is, is it bad to marry from the same family my elder brother got married from in Igbo Land? I am in love with the younger sister of my elder brother's wife. Infact we really love each other and have been seeing each other for some time now, but don't know how to bring the issue before our parents. So, please I need your opinion the best way of opening up to my parent regarding this pressing issue of mine.

LONG LIVE TO THE WHOLE IGBOISTS!

Ndi Igbo kwuru si n'uzo di nma a ga ya ugboro ibuo. (Meaning: If something is good, you will enjoy to do it the second time).

And in all Igbo cultures and traditions it is allowed. And again, it shows that the first woman was good and so, we are coming a second time.

There is no problem as long as you are financially independent. In other words you don't depend on your senior brother for your living. It will be a big problem if it were so. You must know that love usually comes from unexpected places. Good luck my brother and all the best of luck.
