Although the Japanese has been sent home from the World Cup, they have taught the whole world a lesson in gratitude and character.
They lost to Belgium 3-2 at forty seconds to go after leading 2-0 for some time . Yet the Japanese fans cleaned up their side of the stadium before leaving while their players tidied up their locker room before exiting and they didn't forget to leave a thank you note for their Russian host.
These Japanese are not Christians or Muslims or Traditional African Religionists. So they are not relying on any Holy Ghost Anointing or Quoranic guidance or Amadioha teachings in conducting their affairs. They have demonstrated quality character of gratitude and humility even in the face of great loss and disappointment .
On the other hand, Nigerians, if in the Japanese shoes, would have wailed out of the stadium , sulking and expressing bitterness, nobody would think of any clean ups and putting up thank you notes cannot even be imagined.
The whole world, especially Nigerians, obviously have a lesson or two to learn from the character of the Japanese, both their players and their fans. Thanks Japanese, you guys deserve some accolades!

Point of correction nwanne, our West African neighbor The Terrenga Lions of Senegal laid the example, which their Japaness counterpart emulated. Kudos though.
