Leicester City have made a bid for CSKA Moscow forward Ahmed Musa, according to the Russian club's coach Leonid Slutsky.
Leicester vice-chairman Aiyawatt
Srivaddhanaprabha said last week that he expected the club to make three or four signings this summer after winning the Premier League, and they have now revived their interest in Nigeria international Musa after reportedly bidding for his services during the winter window.
When it was put to Slutsky that Russian Premier League winners CSKA's squad was worth more than English champions Leicester's, Slutsky joked: "Oh, so that's why Leicester want to buy Musa. They want to overtake us."
He said they offered "a bit less" than €30 million (£22.76m) and, asked if he was preparing to play without Musa next season, replied: "He came to me and asked when we start the training sessions after the vacation.
