Lionel Messi signed a new contract at barca before he flew back to Argentina although his contract will still end on 2018. The contract length hasn’t been extended, it is still until June 2018. His 250 million euro release clause also remains unchanged.
According to ESPN, the only significant change is his salary. Messi will now be earning 20 million gross which will definitely be 27 million annually.

That means he would be earning 700,000 euros a week?

No that would be around 385, 000 or 300,000 euros per week if that is 27 million euro
