I will neither join APC nor bow to Buhari – Fani- Kayode

A former Minister of Aviation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, has vowed not to bow to the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.
In a post on his Facebook page on Sunday, Fani-Kayode said an individual made a comment he found offensive.

He (the individual) quoted me as saying the following: “I think what is appropriate for us (PDP) is to apologize to President Buhari and the APC, then join them to move Nigeria forward” -Femi Fani-Kayode.

“Kindly note that this is FALSE. It is a total fabrication. I never said any such thing privately or publicly and neither have I ever written it or published it anywhere.

“These are desperate and despicable tactics being employed to gather support for themselves by a desperate and despicable government.

“I remain totally committed to opposing the Buhari administration and the APC and I would NEVER suggest to anyone to ‘join them to move Nigeria forward'”, he insisted.

Fani-Kayode, who was recently granted bail and released Friday night, has vowed to fight on.


“I am innocent of all charges and I look forward to defending myself vigorously in court.

“These charges are politically motivated and I have been severely punished for my political views and criticisms of the government.

“They are trying to silence me, break me, discredit me and destroy but as long as Jesus is on the throne this will never work. I am strong and I am bold and the struggle will continue”, he added.
