Here Is The Man That Invented AK-47, Mikhail Timofeyevich Kalashnikov 18739510

Here is the man that invented the AK-47, his name is Mikhail Timofeyevich Kalashnikov.
This gun has become a gun considered today to be the equalizer where there are is inequality, a harbinger of justice where there is injustice around the world, and soul revolutions around the world. It is boldly imprinted on many revolutionary flags all over the globe.

In Africa, Mozambique has it on their flag to remind themselves every day that they used it to take back their country from the colonial masters after 15 years of brutal violent struggle for independence. The AK-47 on the Mozambique flag also has its bayonet fixed as a subtle reminder of the many last stands Mozambique freedom fighters had to make.

Here are some interesting facts:
1. He was never even a gun designer originally, in fact, he was a tank crew member. His tank gut bombed in the middle of a battle field and he managed to be among the survivors with heavy injuries.

2. While in the hospital, he started sketching a gun that he envision would be easier to load, decouple, reload and fire.
3. Russia was doing a yearly gun design competition then, his first2 times or so that he went for the competition but his designs didn't win anything. He kept improving them at each year's trial until he won about 5 years after he started his original designs.
4. He wasn't rich or anything, he simply did his designs on paper, built sample prototypes and leveraged the yearly competitions.
Moral lesson:
1. No matter how big your dream is, your first few designs could be total crap, rejected and thrown out the window by people that should support it. And they could be right to do so because its actually crap.

2. Be willing to improve.
3. You can draw inspiration from your pain. Kalashnikov is not the only one that came out with a great work of art from a position of pain and hospitalization. A US teen known as Jayceon Terrell Taylor once survived an assassination with 5 bullet wounds during a drug deal gone wrong, by the time he came out of the hospital, he came out a rapper and gave himself a new name; The Game. He is currently one of the biggest rappers in the industry.
4. Don't let financial constraints restrain you, find something else to leverage on. Kalashnikov made use of national completions.
5. Learn as much as you can in different fields. Geniuses usually come from a background of more than one field. Kalashnikov applied technical drawing to his battlefield experience.
What 2 fields can you combine to produce something truly novel?

6. Every disadvantage is a huge advantage turned inside out.
Be the world's greatest, the very best.
