PARIS, OCTOBER 12, 2016: (DGW) Legislative activities reportedly grounded at Nigeria's National Assembly as no fewer than 3,000 legislative aides to the federal lawmakers comprising the Houses of Representatives and Senate are protesting the non-payment of salaries and allowances that have accumulated for months.
A source who spoke to our correspondent in Abuja on Wednesday said the lawmakers owe them entitlements which has in deed made life difficult.
The aides said they can no longer meet their basic needs coupled with the pangs of hunger that now hang over their heads like the ancient sword of Damocles.
